Safety Manager – Camden, NJ

As a Safety Manager, you’ll lead the charge in building a culture where safety is more than a priority — it’s a core value. You’ll ensure best practices are implemented, compliance standards are met, and every team member goes home safe each day.

HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a recommissioning project in Camden, NJ. This is a hands-on, field-focused role supporting high-risk industrial work and reinforcing newly developed safety programs across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily on-site safety oversight, including audits, inspections, and hazard correction
• Lead toolbox talks, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and safety meetings
• Support permit-to-work systems, including confined space, hot work, and LOTO
• Oversee high-risk activities such as tank cleaning, repair, and recommissioning
• Train and reinforce site-specific safety programs
• Ensure OSHA compliance and coordinate with contractors and site leadership

• 8–10+ years of industrial safety experience preferred
• Strong hands-on experience with LOTO, confined space entry, and hot work
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 preferred
• Experience with gas monitoring (PID), HAZWOPER, or electrical safety is a plus
• Ability to coach, correct, and hold teams accountable in the field
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills
