Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Nationwide Senior Account Executive is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans and establishing strong relationships with key clients in conjunction with the company’s overall strategic sales and growth profit objectives.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan aligned with annual budget and interim forecasts.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, owner clients, contractors and sub-contractors.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic relationships across key verticals, including but not limited to Life Sciences, Data Centers, General Contractors, and Subcontractors within the construction industry.
  • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with key decision-makers through networking, prospecting, and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers to ensure relationships are maintained and client growth expectations are achieved.
  • Understand client project goals and scope to develop tailored proposals within company guidelines.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth.
  • Leverage a robust professional network to advance business development efforts.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and prospect funnel using CRM tools.
  • Track and report sales metrics and forecasting data accurately and consistently.
  • Represent HazTek at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and clients’ needs to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Embody and promote HazTek’s Core Values and culture in all business dealings.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales or business development experience--driving lead generation, cold calling, networking and relationship building – with a proven track record of identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships within various business verticals such as life sciences, data center infrastructure, semiconductors and or the construction ecosystem (general contracts and subcontractors).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding multimillion-dollar sales goals.
  • Proficient in CRM tools Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and contract negotiation skills.
  • Experienced in setting and executing client growth strategies through cross-selling and up-selling activities.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in large-scale construction project management.
  • Background in safety consulting and/or professional services.
  • Relevant certifications in construction safety or project management.
  • Construction industry and/or safety management experience.
  • Experience in selling intangible or consultative services (e.g. staffing solutions, safety consulting).

  • Advanced B2B sales skills: prospecting, lead generation, relationship-building, and closing.
  • Strategic thinking and tactical execution abilities.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Confident, persuasive, and trustworthy negotiator.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, humility, and professional presence.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen including understanding of profit margins, gross profitability, and financial metrics.
  • Skilled in navigating complex organizations and uncovering key decision-makers.
  • Ability to plan strategically and tactically.
  • Team-oriented with leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and comfortable working independently or in a team setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel by car and plane.
  • Working extended hours as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Extensive manual dexterity (keyboarding, mouse, phone).
