Responsibilities

HazTek Inc. is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a high-profile pharmaceutical construction project in Kenosha County, WI. This role ensures compliance with all safety regulations, conducts site inspections and audits, and fosters a proactive safety culture on-site. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, and prior experience managing EHS for complex construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all safety aspects of a large-scale commercial construction project

  • Ensure full OSHA compliance across all project phases

  • Conduct daily site safety meetings

  • Complete detailed accident reports and lead accident investigations

  • Perform daily audits and site safety inspections

  • Manage and monitor subcontractors and contractors

  • Supervise activities involving Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation

  • Promote and uphold HazTek's Core Values: Integrity, Compassion, Dependability, Leadership, Accountability

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of EHS experience in construction safety (required)

  • Prior experience on pharmaceutical construction projects (required)

  • OSHA 510 and/or 500 certification (a plus)

  • CHST or CSP credential (preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field (preferred)

  • Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
