Responsibilities

The Safety Manager in Grand Rapids, MI will be performing Owner Representative work for a ground up build for a Data Center. 

  • Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring compliance with OSHA construction safety regulations
  • Conduct daily safety meetings focusing on construction site hazards and safety protocols
  • Thoroughly complete accident reports and conduct detailed accident investigations in construction environments
  • Conduct daily safety audits and inspections focusing on construction site hazards and regulatory compliance
  • Supervise all subcontractors and contractors to ensure compliance with construction site safety protocols
  • Oversee Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation safety measures

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years direct experience in construction safety management required
  • Degree in a safety related field preferred
  • OSHA 510 and or 500 a plus
  • CHST or CSP preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
